Kodak Vision3 500T Super 8 Color Negative Film (15m/50ft)
Kodak Vision3 500T/7219 is a high-speed, tungsten-balanced motion picture color negative film characterized by a fine grain structure, broad dynamic range, and the flexible nominal sensitivity of a 500-speed index.
It has a wide exposure latitude with exceptional highlight control for working in a variety of lighting conditions, ranging from high-contrast outdoor lighting to mixed interior light situations. Advanced Dye Layering Technology (DLT) is also used to reduce the appearance of grain in the shadows for cleaner detailing and clarity. As part of the Vision3 series of movie films, this stock has high archival stability and is well suited to digital post-production processes.
If you buy this product you get one 15 meter/50 feet cartridge of single perforated Super 8 color negative film to be processed in ECN-2 chemistry. A film length of 15 meters gives you about 3 minutes and 20 seconds recording time. Please note this film is tungsten-balanced which is meant to be used under controlled artificial light. If you want to shoot this film in daylight you will need a color correction filter type 85B and you need to expose the film at ISO 320.
Keep in mind that you cannot view this color negative film with a film projector after development. The end result is a film negative, not a positive image. You must have a digital scan or positive print of the negative to see the final result.
