Kodak Tri-X Reversal Film (7266) is a high-speed panchromatic black-and-white motion picture film designed for reversal processing for direct projection and duplication.

It features an anti-halation undercoating that benefits working in low-light and indoor conditions but it is also suitable for outdoor applications. When used under artificial lighting, the film has to be rated at ISO 160. When shots are made in daylight, the film must be rated at ISO 200. Tri-X Reversal is characterized by a classic grain structure and wide tonal range with smooth gradations between values.

The film is intended to be processed as a reversal film in the proprietary Kodak B&W Reversal Process for motion picture films based on the D-94A and D95 developers. As these processing kits are only available in large quantities you can also opt for the B&W Film Reversal Kit from Bellini which offers you the possibility to develop the film yourselves at home at an affordable price. The film can also be developed as a negative instead of a positive by using conventional B&W film chemicals like Kodak X-TOL and D-76. It will yield satisfactory results, although there will be some loss in speed and an increase in granularity.

If you buy this product you get one 15 meter/50 feet cartridge of single perforated Super 8 film. A film length of 15 meters gives you about 3 minutes and 20 seconds recording time.

When developed as reversal film, the resulting positive can be viewed immediately after development with for example a projector.
