Just like any other masking frame this Kaiser Masking Frame can be used to fix photographic papers in place during the enlargement process in a quick and easy way without damaging the paper. It holds prints up to 28 x 36 cm (11 x 14.2 inch).
Despite the fact that this masking frame model is the basic model within the Kaiser product range, the built-quality is again top notch as you can expect from Kaiser and easily justifies the higher price tag. The masking frame consists of a sturdy metal base with non-slip overlay and a plain white matte surface. The paper holders allow you to adjust the margins between 5 and 12 mm (0.2 to 0.5 inch). The metal frame, which holds the paper in place has both a centimeter scale and an inch scale and has independent snap holders. The masking bands are bilaterally guided and have instant-lock push buttons so they don't slip away during the enlargement process.
