Harman Phoenix 200 is a brand new ISO 200, color negative film and the first ever to be made entirely from emulsion to cassette at Harman's (Ilford) Mobberley plant, a significant but incredible milestone. Phoenix is Harman's first foray into the development and production of color films after being the benchmark in the black and white negative film market for many years. After the success of Phoenix 200 in 35mm and by great demand from the community, Phoenix is now also available in 120 roll film and ready to become the new friend of your medium format camera.

High contrast and strong, visible grain are just some of the unique features attributable to this characterful color film.

With a rated film speed of ISO 200, Phoenix can be exposed between ISO 100 and 400, but best performance is achieved in good, steady light. On days with more than ample sunlight or when shooting in backlight, there is also a chance of halation.

Phoenix delivers powerful, vibrant colors that react differently depending on the camera settings and the (lab) scanner used. Proper exposure will certainly help you get the best results, so we definitely recommend metering light for midtones to preserve shadow or high-light detail (over- or underexposure is not Phoenix's friend)!

Harman Phoenix 200 is an experimental color film and the first ever made by Harman Photo. As such, it has properties that make the film very different from more traditional, well-known color films. In addition to the risk of occasional coating irregularities, this film contains no masking dyes and limited anti-halation in the base layer. This means that striking halation effects around bright light sources and reflections are possible. In addition to the atypical color reproduction, this film has a distinct look that offers a lot of creative possibilities.
