Write the first reviewSilberra is a somewhat controversial analog photography brand from Russia. It was founded in 2017 and currently produces several new black-and-white negative films. Getting these films to Europe was an adventure on its own so only limited quantities are available for now.
Silberra S25 is a limited edition black-and-white negative film made in Russia with a nominal film speed of ISO 25. The film offers an extra fine grain, moderate overall contrast and a high image resolution. The emulsion's characteristics are somewhat similar to the legendary Ilford PAN 50 black-and-white film stock. The initial batch of S25 consists of 400 rolls and may be extended up to 800 rolls. Try it before it's gone.
Silberra S25 perfectly suits applications like architectural and landscape photography due to its great latitude. S25 performs well when used at bright scenes and without loss of shadow and highlight detail. S25 has a high sensitization level which makes it possible to use it for IR-photography with a corresponding IR-filter (<725nm).
